Thomas Carchia, President

Tom CarchiaThomas Carchia has planned, created and implemented large-scale, national marketing campaigns for more than 30 years. As President and founder of Carchia Communications Co., he utilizes his broad range of fundraising, brand and consumer marketing, education marketing, and direct response and digital marketing experience for the benefit of the company’s clients that are seeking to grow their organizations.

As the Vice President of Marketing Creative and Strategy for the nation’s leading experiential education company from 2004 to 2012, Mr. Carchia planned, created and implemented the annual direct mail and digital marketing campaigns for all of the company’s leadership training and career focused programs and conferences that were attended by the highest achieving students in the nation. He also managed the communications, web and production teams that marketed and enrolled nearly a quarter of a million students in a program. Mr. Carchia is an integrated direct marketing and digital marketing leader and strategist. He has successfully increased response, lowered marketing costs and increased online conversions by instituting design, layout and conversion best practices, and by conducting extensive mail, landing page and conversion form A/B testing.

Prior to serving as a marketing leader and strategist in the education space, Mr. Carchia held Senior Creative Director and Marketing Director positions responsible for fundraising and development, direct marketing and membership building, for a variety of non-profits, foundations, political campaigns and committees, associations and corporations.

Travis Gainsley, Sales and Marketing

Travis GainsleyWith over 15 years of experience in the sales and marketing arena, Travis has extensive knowledge in print and digital marketing. With a wide range of past clients that include international tourism boards, consumer memberships, recreational equipment, finance and consumer electronics, he has helped develop strategies to meet client goals. Prior to joining Carchia Communications Co., Mr. Gainsley led the sales and marketing efforts for companies including Rodale’s Scuba Diving Magazine, Ski Town Media, Divers Alert Network, Team Sage Productions and PaddlingLife.com.

Jessica Lopez, Digital Services and Strategy

Jess LopezJessica Lopez is a skilled marketer, web development and design leader, and social media strategy expert with over a decade of digital experience. Ms. Lopez provides a wide range of digital strategy and services and has served financial, education and consulting clients.

From 2005 through 2010, Ms. Lopez served as the Director of Digital Services for the nation’s leading experiential education company, leading the web team responsible for the development, design, management and social media strategy for 14 separate program web sites enrolling as many as 40,000 students annually in a leadership conference or program.

Ms. Lopez’s specific skills include: Web Design & Front-End Development, HTML/CSS, Social Media, Digital Strategy, Digital Media Management, Online Content Development & Distribution, Web Analytics, Web 2.0 & WordPress.

Ms. Lopez holds a Bachelor of Science in Media Arts & Design from James Madison University and a Certificate in Digital Media Management from Georgetown University.
